4-Day School Week Headed to a District Near You?

This came hot off the press today. What does one say to something like this? Is there any sanity anywhere at any level in government today? Anywhere? Hello? This proposal is wrong on so many levels.

You want to help schools? Cut out the crap. I'm talking about bureaucrats and labor unions...

...Ah fuck it! What's the point?

I asked my son's teacher not to broadcast the Inauguration in the class room because a state test was scheduled and I told her that the Inauguration had no meaningful place in the life of a 4th grader. She said she wouldn't. But she did it anyway, albeit for only a few minutes. I was really disappointed, especially considering that my son's teacher is HOT!! Anyway, my son then asked me at dinner that night whether or not I liked Obama. I simply told him who he was, and how long his term is, quick summary of the electoral college, and his primary roles, including Commander in Chief. I didn't talk shit. I only informed him of the civics facts and that his own life experiences will form his political opinion when he grows up into a fine young man. I JUST DID FOR HIM WHAT SCHOOLS SHOULD BE DOING!!! I wouldn't have a problem with the teacher showing the Inauguration in class had it not smacked of pure shitpiles of liberal indoctrination!!! Good riddance, liberals. You won't be corrupting this family. Fucking losers.

Here's where public education is headed, folks...

99.9% of teachers are nothing but libs. I don't really care for them. They to me are a necessity, only. The crap they try and pull at my daughters school has caused me to make more than one phone call to them.

you did good. i however didn't. my daughter(also 4th grade) cried when obama won. she thought we would be homeless and she couldn't go to school anymore. that's my fault for talking outloud to the television. *hangs head in shame*. they also watched inauguration and she said it was "sooooooo boring". she said the teachers kept shushing them saying "this is history" and "amen brother". *gags* ok i'll shut up now...i can feel my blood pressure going out the roof!

Holy shit, labcat! Your daughter had to sit through the whole fucking thing?!!!! I guess I can't really bitch about just the few minutes my son was tortured. My daughter is in Kindergarten, and that teacher did not broadcast any of it. She's lucky because had she shown it, you might have seen me in the news. OK, gotta cool my blood pressure, too.

I was long ago blacklisted by the teachers, PTA, Educational Foundation and the School Board. Those folks really don't like being questioned (or having to turn over financial records). My youngest is screwed, as my reputation will have proceeded him.

When my kids regurgitate my opinions, I ask them to tell me what policies of Obama's they disagree with. They know that an informed decision is expected. My 9th grader just switched to a charter school and one of the major factors in our decision was that all of her classmates look and think just like her. I want to raise independent thinkers, not sheep.

Dude! Your on a roll. Luckily we have a mostly conservative no Obama staff at our elementary school here in Ingram.

If it where me and I had to counter the liberal bullshit that the big city schools spout nowadays. A subscription to Glenn Beck would be a good start. Let the kids watch him instead of TV for a couple hours a day before bed. Y'all have seen his new show on Fox News?

Lb, NO ONE should ever hang there head in shame for pointing out the falsehoods of socialism to their kids. Hold your head high brother!

Fuggin' A Paul! Keep that ball of dissent rolling! You're definately on fire right now!

My sentiments are with kerrcarto's labcat, there's nothing to be ashamed of in what you did. I would prolly do the same if I had kids. You have to counter the liberal brainwashing somehow.

kerrcarto-
I do believe labcat is a sister though, not a brother. (and I'm not talking about ghetto lingo)

you talkin' ta me kerrcarto? if so...thanks muchly and i guess i would be a sister, which is what my guy friends call me. :)

Well fuck me sideways, I feel like a doosh! I guess the old adage "assume" makes an ass of you and me" only applies to me this time. Damn.

Of course you all realize that you are the "retarded offspring of five monkeys having butt sex with a fish squirrel." BWAHAHAH!!!! South Park kicks ass.

No, the phrase "I did for him what schools should be doing"
Wrong answer. This is the parent's responsibility; you have been doing that by letting your kids know your ideology (sp?) and where you stand, but ultimately it is every parents responsiblity to teach their children. Teachers are there for math, English, science, Civics (remember that one?) basics that are irrefutable.....not ideology, that is your responsibility. Hooah!

Imagine my horror as I got to the Econ class where I co lab and I saw the tv set up with the inaugaration on. I could only handle a few minutes of it before I left and told the teacher my hip boots did not go as high as the b.s. that man was spouting out.
As I made my way back to my home room (where I knew I'd be safe from watching that crap), I noticed almost all the teacher's had a tv tuned in to the inaugaration.
