Because...

I bought my first handgun on my 21st birthday. It was the Ruger P-89 and I loved it. I had fired a few 1911's back then and couldn't hit shit so I wanted to go with the 9mm Euro-sissy-round and see the difference. I could hit what I was aiming at but the knockdown power just wasn't there. Fuck that! Naive young lad...

Never again.

I bought my Sig P220 in '01 and that thing has never failed me. Granted, the P-89 never failed me either because Dad taught me gun cleaning discipline early on, but I'm so much happier with the P220. I want knock-down-dirt-nap results and .45 ACP does it. Lights out asshole!

Next purchase is going to be a Kimber Ultra Carry II. That thing is just nice all around and ambidextrous ta boot! I knew Dudley1 was cool after he told me he was in his Right mind...

Dudley1-
Congratulations! Give yer Grandson Stag a high five for me would ya?

My buddy got a Kimber Ultra carry II back in March. I put some rounds downrange with it a week later in the desert and I fuggin' loved it! On target every shot. It's well balanced and accurate. I was a little pissed because I was on target with the Kimber (first time firing it) more than I was with my Sig that I've had and practiced with for eight years.

I thought the sub-compact was gonna embarrass me, but it was more than awesome. LOUD and awesome! LOUD and accurate.

Oh yeah... LOUD, accurate AND ambidextrous too. As a Southpaw, I appreciate that feature even though I'm used to having to adapt to the "racist" right-handers out there.

Why aren't all handguns ambidextrous nowdays anyways? I better get on the horn with the ACLU right away and find out why we are being discriminated against. I WANT REPARATIONS! REPARATIONS I tell you, REPARATIONS!

Seriously though,
I'm sold on that handgun. Saving for one as we speak...

I wanna hear the progress of your Grandson Stag when you get the chance. How he's comin' along, etc.

He sounds like a good kid...

When I want a medium powered round, I use my Colt 1991 series 70 .45 acp

When I'm serious, I bust out the S&W mod 29 .44 mag

When I have money again, I'm getting a S&W .500 mag

(insert maniacal laugher here)

Tsk. Don't you know Dirty Harry carried a light load to have better precision?

.45ACP is soooo yesterday... lol

Get with the times, man. Mini gun. End of story.

I get pretty decent groups offhand at 25 yards with full power 240 grain SWC in the .44. And I can reliably kill upright vacuum cleaners out to 100 yards :)

Never thought the recoil was as bad as everyone bitches about. Now my buddy's .357 derringer, THAT little bastard stings.

Only issue I have with the Smith is that you really have to strip her down and clean her after every 50 rounds or so, otherwise the cylinder gets gunked up pretty bad. That and I need to take out a loan to keep it fed (soon as I kill some of this divorce related debt, I'm investing in a reloading rig)
