Seattle weather update for kerrcarto

Current: Partly Cloudy
Temperature: 100
Wind: N at 1 mph
Humidity: 30%
Are you kidding me??!!!!

I have both my front doors open just to force a breeze through this hot freakin' house!!! All the windows are open. This is how I have to live. Thank goodness the kids aren't back from Utah, yet.

Now before all you southerners start making fun of me you need to understand that we are simply not equipped for this crap, i.e., no air conditioners!!! Dear Lord please take the heat away and give it back to the South!!!

That's funny, in your case it IS the heat and NOT the humidity!

The pasty white gods of the great northwest are punishing you for saying how much you loved being in Texas...

Paul, take a bedsheet, soak it in water, and hang it over a large opening on one side of the house, place a fan on the other side of the house blowing out to pull air through the wet sheet.

Trust this Mississippi boy that grew up with no a/c. Convection cooling works pretty well.

i feel for you, paul. we had a couple of cool days (read just 90 degree days) over the weekend, with actual rain. you can always stick your feet in a bucket of ice cold water.

Currently in Montreal, Quebec:

27 degrees C (84.2 F)
Humidity: 83%

And since the summer's started, the average has been 14 degrees (57 F) and raining!

When it rains, it pours. I had to spend five days, instead of the planned three, with my folks just to get one decent day to go fishing. We got it. We got lucky.

Screw Al Gore!

Paul - So you brought this back from Texas, did you? I can't thank you enough.

Yesterday I just went and stood in the shower with my clothes on, got soaking wet, then did housework. Every time I dried out I did it again. I was in the shower 4 times. My water bill is going to be heinous - especially since I was also doing an assload of laundry and setting up a new fish tank.
