I hope to God they are not muslims I really do. No matter what they turn out to be, bury the fuckers to their heads in the sand and let the army ants take care of them then in a couple months put their sun bleached skulls on pikes. At the front gate. Just as a warning.
I had a buddy there fixing to ship out. I hope he is not one of the dead or wounded.

The major news outlets are identifying the shooter as Major Malik Nadal Hasan. I haven't seen a photo of him yet, so I suppose it is possible he is a pasty white, red haired kid, but he sounds pretty fucking raghead to me. I haven't heard the names of the other two that are in custody, but I'd say the odds of them being raghead are pretty fucking great. When is this country going to wake up to the fact that WE ARE AT WAR WITH ISLAM??
The other two have been released, but they have one more in custody still. Let loose the dogs!

Yup a Muslim! They are saying that he was flagged 6 months ago b/c he made "comments" about homicide bombing (prob. saying that they were good).
They are now saying he acted alone. I don't buy it, though. This is an army base, not a school campus - 11 people killed "execution style" and about 30 more injured and in that short space of time? It doesn't add up to me. Somebody care to enlighten me?
PeggyU, the place where the shootings took place is a processing center for deploying soldiers - a lot of waiting room space and Thursday afternoons are 'catch up day' for soldiers that didn't come through with their unit during the week. The deployment process has a lot of 'check the box' activities. They used to round everyone up in a gym and run them through stations, but now they have this center. Everything from physicals, shots, updating wills, etc. has to be done. My understanding is that he opened fire on the medical waiting room. It is hard to imagine, but Fort Hood is just like a busy city and 1:30 is prime time, as everyone has just returned from lunch, which is generally 11:30 - 1:00. There is some grace in the fact that there are places on post where he could have done much more damage.
Harper ~ Pardon me for this disgusting observation, but when I read the words "execution style" in an article, to me that means at very close range, and that there is some awareness on the part of the victim. That is why I questioned the single-shooter claim. But then, the writer may have been defining that phrase differently or may simply have gotten the wrong information. This story has changed often!
PeggyU, you are correct, the story has changed often. It was quite a bombshell when they announced the shooter was alive, after it had been reported for hours that he was dead. I just saw a local news report that they have been interviewing witnesses all night and day. I can't imagine the atrocities those people witnessed, but I think we will have a much clearer 'big' picture of what happened in the next few days.
Muslims ARE speaking out against this.
But when I saw a C.A.I.R. rep on Fox News, it just didn't sound right.
My great hopes towards the moderate muslims is wavering.
