I came home from work last Tuesday and noticed some wetback punkass graffiti on the wall near my house. Our city supposedly has their own graffiti "task force" that's supposed to take care of this shit before another punkass wetback tags over the original tag. Well, this shit was up from last Tuesday morning until I got home last night and decided to do something about it. I guess the City is too fucking busy harassing people for smoking cigarettes on public property to bother with the gang-bullshit these days! Well, not anymore. A simple addition like, "Sucks Cock" over the original third-world hyrogliphics seemed to solve the problem instantly! Hmmmm. Before I crashed out last night I took a can of paint and added my own touch to both areas. I should've been an ethnic artist eh?
When I left for work this morning it was still there, but when I got home tonight...BAM!...all of it was gone! Painted over. Like magic! All of a sudden the City's "task force" cared about people painting on the wall and decided to do something about it? Funny how that works...

UPDATE: I found out that they amended the law in Arizona. You do not have to show your papers if pulled over. All you have to do to is pass an oral exam that consists of 14 words. You have to use each word in a sentence. If you can do that, you can go on your way.

All was good when I got home from work tonight until I opened my email. Just as I was ready to hit the sheets I got one from my best friend who sent me some pictures of us as kids when Uncle Dave first introduced us to the desert and the mine-exploring experience in '86.
Memories of those good times fueled my appetite for the infamous "one more beer" and the next thing I knew it was "one more beer", "one more beer", "one more beer" and the 18-pack was history and it was 04:00. I'm gonna show up to the pre-bid meeting in the morning smelling like I just came from a whorehouse sponsored by Budweiser. Oh well, I suppose that's just how it goes. It is what it is...
Anyways, he sent me this link to the Cargo Mine; one of our camping spots more than 20 years ago. I can remember climbing down the ladders, scaling ridges, dodging the "rabid" bats and having a great time as a kid, but these dudes have taken it to the next level. Awesome, but there's no fucking way! Just the pics of the shoring is enough to make me want to sit in my chair around the campfire these days and slug some brews and jam a few tunes. I explored that mine when I was 14 years old, scraped up my elbows and forehead, and inhaled lots of dust, but the only way you'll find me there again is when the SHTF. I'll be in there with a shitload of water, cases of MRE's, endless ammo, reliable friends, my dog, and my rifle.
This is me in '86 on my first desert trip visiting the Golden Queen at Tumco. Uncle Dave opened my eyes to a whole new world back then and I've been a desert rat ever since.
As a little booger eatin' mohoron back then, all I wanted to do was throw rocks, shoot my Marlin Mod. 60 and burn things. Uncle Dave always read up on the history of the place and tried teaching us about it. I didn't care back then, but it's really interesting to me these days.

Then flames erupted in an empty farm house that Jungerman owns.

Happy Father's Day!
To all the dad's out there, I'd like to wish you a Happy Father's Day! My dad just wants to do nothing Sunday, so my brother and I took him to the Johnny Cash Music Festival today (yesterday? Saturday). It was fucking awesome! Dad had a great time and we did too. What a bitchen day in Ventura! Beers were flowin, music was crankin', and the girls were insanely smokin' hot and down to earth tah boot! Who could ask for anything more?
Thirteen Stars was on stage when we got there and those motherfuckers tear it up! I wanted them to keep playin' but they were out of time. Damn, what a great set they had.
I was expecting some fights and the usual bullshit that comes with the mish-mash of random people when they congregate, but there was none of that shit today. Just a bunch of Americans congregating, drinking and enjoying some badass Johnny Cash cover tunes.
Dad had a great time and that was the mission! I caught him checkin' out the pin-up girls even though he denied it. Funny shit. I love you Dad!
The girls walking around this place were insanely hot. Holy. Shit. I'm kicking myself in the nuts for not taking more pictures. It's kinda hard to maintain a full beer and take pics, but I should've known better. Just call me a dumbass...

One For PG & The Fine American Folks In Arizona...
PG wrote me a heartfelt email last night and asked that I post the link to the Arizona BUYcott. I couldn't agree with her more. I order a lot of ammo and miscellaneous firearm-related shit online, and I've made a point to try and buy it from Arizona-based businesses in the past, but even more lately. Fuck Kalifornia and fuck their Arizona boycott! With all the earthquakes that have been going on here recently, I'd be content if this shitty state broke off the shelf, fell into the ocean and turned Yuma into beach front property.
I was born and raised in Southern Mexifornia and have resided in the greater San Diego County my entire life. I have watched this state and San Diego in particular go to shit in my 38 years on this fucked up planet. Mexifornia can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. I have a few friends and extended family that live in Tuscon and I've done some camping in Kofa and partying at Martinez Lake. The locals have always been down to earth people and would give you the shirt off their backs. After they went forward with enforcing federal law when it comes to wetbacks, I am really tempted to move there myself.

They buried the 1000th Hero KIA in Afghanistan this morning here in Kerrville. People lined the streets the whole 7 mile route from the church to the cemetery.
Jacob Carl Leicht, was born on July 4th, 1985 at Lemoore Naval Air Station Hospital in Lemoore, California, joining a family rich in military tradition. It came as no surprise, then, when Jacob expressed interest in becoming a Marine from the time he could talk.
Following high school, Jacob was awarded a full Navy ROTC scholarship at the University of Texas, Austin, after which he would be commissioned as an officer. However, in a move which epitomized Jacob’s desire to serve, he turned down the scholarship to join the Marines as an enlisted man. Jacob saw his dream become reality when, following boot camp and further training, he deployed to Iraq in the spring of 2007.
Jacob had been in Iraq for only a few weeks, serving in the Anbar Province, when the humvee Jacob was driving was hit by an IED. Jacob’s right leg was seriously injured, and he was immediately flown to Landstuhl, Germany for emergency surgery. Jacob was then transferred to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, for an additional 18 surgeries in an attempt to save his leg.
Following the last successful surgery, Jacob spent the next two years in intense rehab in an effort to be reinstated to active duty, which he achieved in the fall of 2009. In January, 2010, Jacob married his wife Leslie Garcia, of Kerrville, Texas, and the newlyweds moved into military housing at Camp Pendleton, California.
Cpl Leicht, USMC, deployed to the Helmuth River Valley area of Afghanistan April, 2010, with the 1st LAR Battalion, 1st Marine Division. After being in the country for less than a month--Jacob was killed in action on May 27, 2010—the one thousandth casualty in the Afghan theatre. Jacob is survived by his wife, Leslie Garcia Leicht; his parents, Craig and Shirly Leicht of Kerrville, and five siblings--brother Jonathan Leicht and family of Kerrville; sister Elizabeth Leicht-Chapa and family of Florham Park, NJ; brother Jesse Leicht and sisters Mary Rose, and Sarah Grace Leicht of Kerrville; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces & nephews residing in Texas and California.
The family requests that donations be made in Jacob’s honor to the Semper Fi Foundation, at www.SemperFiFund.org or 210-916-5629 attn: Kimberly McConnell.
