This article should serve as a painful reminder as to how far we have fallen and how physically detached our government has become. I remember Washington, DC when I was a kid and walked through many of those majestic buildings across from the National Mall. Today, I have no desire to share Washington, DC with my kids. And they already understand that the single greatest threat to our society is not the Muslim barbarian but our very own government.
And while most of us with New Year's resolutions will probably make our own lives better throughout the year, our government will continue its descent into fascist madness. What a bunch of sick miserable fucking people.
Here is a great reader comment from the article.
Just one more sign that America is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. Our leaders cower in their bunkers and cut themselves off from the people they are supposed to represent. Washington D.C. belongs to the people not to the bureaucrats and elitists. Open the doors to those buildings, open the doors to your hearts and minds and maybe this country will one day be great again.
