Good-bye Wheelie
Well damn! Today is the day. I've been putting this off for long enough and now it's time to bite the bullet and be the asshole I didn't want to have to be. Sorry Wheelie, but you can't come with me where I'm going. I can only hope someone adopts you before they give you the needle. I don't feel good about it, but there is no other humane card to play that's left on the table. See you on the other side, kitty...

CD - Take him to a no-kill shelter. Here it is called the Alternative Humane Society.
If you already took him to the pound, I believe they will let you have him back. Then you can take him to the alternative shelter.

I tried all of the non-kill shelters and they are full. Apparently "kitten season" is still in full force. The lady at the pound was a condescending bitch to me so I told her to GFY.
My ex-girlfriend works at a vet near my house, so I bit the bullet and called her for help. She called me back today and told me her uncle would take Wheelie. Apparently he has a ranch and a bunch of 'barn cats' about 1/2 hour away, so I'm going to deliver Wheelie next week. Thanks for the tip though. :-)
CD, if you play your cards right, ex-girlfriend + sensitive cat lover = sympathy sex.
LMAO! CenTexTim, I like the way you think, brother. Believe me, that was the first thing that came to my mind when she called me back. She's married now with a kid but I don't know if she's 'happily' married. She still is a hot little number though. I told her I owed her one for helping me out, and she said, "Okay, I'm going to hold you to that." Hopefully her definition of "one" is the same as mine. Heh!
CD - I am glad to hear you found him a home where he can cat around. His picture reminds me of my cat Bigfoot ... used to sleep in the sink like that all the time.

I a heartless conservative but when it comes to pets I get more then sentimental.....I hope everything works out for wheelie & yourself as well.

Thanks man. As of now it looks like Wheelie still has 8 lives left if all goes down like it's supposed to. Still waiting on a call back for feline delivery, but it will come...
