And that's a wrap

I was officially laid off. I have worked for this company since 2004. The way the economy is, I think I'll just be wasting my time and money by seeking other employment in the Seattle area. The kids finish school next Friday for Christmas break so this is probably as good a time as any to go ahead and make preparations. I'll be updating my resume this week and am pretty sure the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is where we are headed. We have family down there and miss them dearly. So this is bittersweet for lack of a better term. I have lived here in Seattle since 1998. I am very emotional right now...wow. Two children depend on me and so I have to figure this out responsibly and with confidence and efficiency. No time for tears. Life just got a lot more complicated. :(

Damn the timing really sucks but it is what it is. Been there, done that, back when my kids were in diapers so I know it sucks balls. Hang in there amigo and get your ass back to TX. I'm tipping a Shiner in your general direction, wishing best of luck.

Well damn. But like the old saying goes.

You finish one beer, and pop the top on the next.

Or something like that.

Good luck brother. Call me if you need any logistical support here in Texas.

Fuck, Paul! You'll be alright brother! This fucking economy is out of control shitty! Fuck the left coast anyways. I can't wait to get the fuck out of here. In a couple years you'll probably kick your own ass for not making the move sooner. I know I am...

Keep yer chin up Paul! It's completely fucked, but it could be a lot worse.

I mean, at least you're not a whiny fucking liberal! THAT, my friend would be fucked beyond all possible fuckage!

The kids will understand so long as they have loving family around them. God bless and praying for you to find work.

Be aware that school districts do not correspond to city boundaries. For example, one can live in Dallas and be in the Richardson school district.

Most of the Dallas suburbs have a higher rated school district than that of Dallas proper.

Here's wishing you best of luck!

Hang in there big fella... prolly better for the kids to grow up in Texas rather than Seattle anyway.

Paul - I am sorry to read about this. Been listening to the news to day, and hear that the unemployment rate has gone down (and then I think that's because there are probably seasonal jobs that won't exist after the beginning of the year). I hope you find work soon! Like the others, I think your job loss is probably a blessing in disguise, albeit a poorly timed one! Is there severence pay?
