On The Road Again

I talked to Paul last night and they were still stuck in Washington! I figured they would have been close to The Mother Land (Texas) by now. Nope, him and the boy are taking off today. He wants to be in Mitt Romney country by tomorrow (if I remember correctly). Safe travels brother. Enjoy the father son time. He will remember this the rest of his life.

He said that they were hitting the sheets early. So knowing you, you called to late. Ya drunk ass.

Uh, we're in the same time zone dude. Is 8:30 considered "late" to anyone over the age of 6 and under the age of 106? Ya drunk fuck.

I talked to him about 7:00 CST, so that would have been 5:00 CWC (CommieWestCoast) time. He was going to hook his truck up and crash out. Ya' Non-Texan drunk stoner fuck.

Somehow I find it hard to believe Pauldo was crashed out before the sun went down, but that's just me. Hopin' he has a safe and kickass couple of days cross-country driving with his boy. I know I'm really looking forward to the drive from here with my brother and/or my dad riding shotgun.

I will deal with Paul and razz the fuck out of him in person when I fly out in a couple weeks to look for potential employment and a place to call home. And since I'll be driving all over the fine State of Texas for a full week, I'll even have time to come ambush you while you're napping on the job, so you better keep an eye on your 6.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it...

You keep saying you are going to drive all over Texas for a week. You do realize that Texas is over 260,000 square miles, right? Of course, you should ignore the panhandle (the armpit of Texas) and El Paso (I can say it because I have family there) and the valley (though you would feel at home) and remember that life's too short to live in Houston. So, concentrate on the I-35 corridor and the Hill Country. That you can probably do in a week.

Harper,
You obviously are not aware of my mad driving skills. 260,000 sq. miles is nothing. I can cover twice that in half the time. LMAO! Seriously though, thanks for the head's up. Paul has given me the lowdown on the generally good areas I should be checking out and areas to avoid. I suppose "all over" is the wrong term to use, but I will be all over the place, all things considered.

I asked our little map making friend to make me some kind of half-assed map of the "dark side" of the state that I should completely stay out of, but I'm starting to wonder if he actually does anything at work besides nap, surf the web and smoke dope...

I don't need to make you a map. The Austin/San Antonio metroplex and the Hill Country Are about the only places you need to look.

As a matter of fact...

Well every area has it's "dark" areas or "wrong side of the tracks" no matter where you go, but that's alright. I know what to look for so I'll figure it out...
